The Local Government Service on Friday, 15th July, 2016 held its first awards night at the Capital View Hotel, Koforidua to reward MMDAs and RCCs who performed excellently after a review of their performance management system implemented by the Service. In the regional category, Central Regional Coordinating Council came first with Western Regional Coordinating Council and Brong Ahafo Regional Coordinating Council placing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Asokore Mampong Municiapl Assembly won the 1st prize in the MMDAs category.
Bosomtwe District Assembly came second and Sekyere Central District Assembly won the 3rd prize.
