INTRODUCTION
The Ellembelle District Assembly (EDA) was created in December 2007 by L.I. 1918 and inaugurated in February 2008. It was carved out of the then Nzema East District, now Nzema East Municipal.
SUMMARY OF DISTRICT STRATEGIES
To ensure the realization of the overall goal and objective, the District strategy shall focus on the underlisted Areas:
- Facilitating support for equitable Human Resourced Development
- Increasing production and promoting sustainable livelihood
- Ensuring good governance
- Encouraging the active involvement of the Private Sector as a key-partner in the development of the District.
- Ensuring gender equity
- Providing special programmes for the vulnerable and excluded
Facilitating the provision of Basic Services and infrastructural development
