The District Chief Executive of the Ellembelle District, Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh has indicated that the fourth session of the Assembly hold much greater prospects as the Honourable Members exhibited in the election of the Presiding Member.
He added that the assembly can now fully exercise its mandate and make informed decisions that will augment the growth of the District.
He thanked them for their commitment in collaborating for the progress of the district but however, advised that all issues should be done constructively devoid of sentiments which will enable for a peaceful co-existence for the development of the District.
He informed the members of some projects that had seen the light of day like the CHPS Compound in Azuleloano, the completion of the PWD Guest House at Azuleloano and Aiyinase Fish Market.
These came to light during the first ordinary meeting of the second session of the fourth Assembly at Nkroful in the Western Region.
He hinted that through the prudent management of the Disabilities Fund, items such as deep freezers, over-lock machines, electrical sewing machines, fufu pounding machines among others were procured and given to some members of the Disabled Association in the District.
He added that the distribution of the items were in phases and that all members of the Association would receive their share until every one of them has a livelihood support trade to empower them.
Touching on security, he mentioned that the District had been relatively peaceful before, during and after the elections and urged Hon. Members to have sessions of meetings with their communities to encourage them to adhere to the safety protocols to forestall any loss of life to COVID-19 as the disease is difficult to manage.
