ELLEMBELLE DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS FIRST EVER CAROLS

The Staff of the Ellembelle District Assembly has held their first carols festival on the theme “Celebrating the Love and Peace of God Through the Birth of Christ”.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Superintendent Minister of the Esiama Circuit of the Methodist Church, Very Rev. John A.S. Abraham indicated that the birth of Jesus Christ was through a humble origin and therefore prevailed upon all Christians to celebrate Christmas with the love and peace of God.

He mentioned that, no king was able to bring peace to the world because of the love for money and power adding that, it was for such reason that God sent Jesus Christ to bring peace through his birth.

Rev. Abraham quoted Psalm 133: 1 and admonished all Christians to live together in unity so that the lasting peace from the Birth of the Saviour will continue to reign.

The District Co-ordinating Director of the Assembly, Mr. Innocent Haligah who welcomed staff to the ceremony advised them to devote time in serving the Lord and as well partake in church activities.

He prevailed upon the staff to forgive one another and make peace as we enter the Christmas season. He then wished all a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.

The audiences were thrilled with song ministrations from the Assembly Choir, St. Augustine Youth Choir, Pentecost Youth Choir, Nass School Choir and Unique Band.

Various heads of departments joined the celebration in the reading passages.
