EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF ELLEMBELLE MEETS

The Executive Committee of the Ellembelle District Assembly has held its first meeting in the year 2017 to deliberate on issues to augment the developmental agenda of the District.

Addressing members, the District Co-ordinating Director who also doubles as the Acting District Chief Executive, Mr. Innocent Haligah informed members that there have been some amendments in the composition of the Executive Committee.

He explained that by the new Act, only the Chairmen of the main Sub-Committees as well as two co-opted subcommittees of the Assembly are members of the Executive Committee adding that the composition also requires for a female representative to the committee which he said could be done through ballot since there are three female Assembly members.

He took time to explain the duties of the Executive Committee to members upon the appointment of the new government appointees to enable them know their duties and areas of operations within the Sub-Committees.
