Assembly Completes New Fire Station

A new fire station has been completed for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at “Nkroful” in the Ellembelle District in the Western Region.

The project, which was constructed with money allocated from its share of the common fund is a safety measure being adopted by the assembly to curb fire outbreaks in the district.

Speaking to Ghanadistricts.com, District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Mr. Daniel Kermanbetu Eshun described the project as timely and one aimed at protecting lives and properties.

He noted that the facility constructed by the Assembly is to serve as offices for the service to enable it to operate effectively in the community and district as whole.

According to him, the assembly was working around the clock to get personnel from the national fire service posted to the facility.

He noted that the assembly was working to improve the living conditions of people, adding that the assembly has initiated several projects in the sectors of education, health, transportation and energy.
