The Hon. District Chief Executive, Kwasi Bonzoh during a two-day tour of some communities in the Ellembelle District visited 12 communities to interact with the citizens as well as explain some government policies to them.
He indicated that visits of such nature was supposed to be regular to enable him and Management of Ellembelle Assembly account to the people for the power entrusted to them as their leaders but hinted that the Corona Virus pandemic has affected most of the activities of the Assembly.
At Teleku-Bokazo, which is one of the communities visited, he mentioned that their road through to Esiama which is about 265 kilometers was on contract and being funded by Ghana Gas which would soon be completed. He added that town roads within Teleku Bokazo would also be done.
Addressing the citizens at Aluku, he mentioned that in a bid to promote healthcare at the community levels, a CHPs compound is almost completed to ease the stress the people go through in assessing healthcare at other communities.
In all the communities visited, the chiefs were full of appreciation for the DCE’s visit and the projects embarked upon in their District. They pledged their collaboration in ensuring that the Assembly succeeds in all its programmes in the present and the future.
