The Ellembelle District Assembly has launched a street marking and re-organization exercise in Esiama, aimed at improving road safety, easing traffic flow and ensuring order within the bustling commercial center. As part of the initiative, temporary concrete bases and poles have been installed along sections of the main street to guide the demarcation of pedestrian walkways, trading zones and vehicular lanes.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle, Hon.Joseph Agyekum, emphasized the importance of the project, stating,” Esiama is one of the busiest commercial towns in the district, and this exercise is designed to create order, reduce congestion, and enhance the safety of all road users”. He added that the temporary structures are only markers for the process and will be removed upon completion.
The Ellembelle District Assembly assures traders, transport operators and the general public that the exercise will be completed within the shortest possible time. The Assembly appeals to all residents, motorists and market users to cooperate with the ongoing works and respect the new demarcation once completed.
By working together, the community can ensure a safer, more organized, and convenient trading environment for everyone.
