ELLEMBELLE DISTRICT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME SPONSORED BY GHANA GAS
On the 12th of May,2023 the Ellembelle district assembly in collaboration with Ghana Gas awarded 360 beneficiaries on scholarship at Pentecost church in Esiama. The program started with a Muslim prayer and the introduction of dignitaries, chiefs, heads of departments, head teachers from various schools, district Magistrate, and honorable assembly members was done by Mr. Enoch Cudjoe.
Hon Francis Apienin spoke about the purpose of the gathering and in his speech, he thanked the DCE, Ghana Gas, and Management for their massive support towards this initiative. He emphasized the fact that in 2017, Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh received a lot of applications for business, health, and personal assistance but on top of all educational support was many, and it became difficult to cater to all these applications. The DCE wrote to various institutions to come to their aid and fortunately Ghana Gas came to their rescue to support them therefore becoming the backbone of this project. He encouraged beneficiaries to work hard in their academics and also appealed to other companies to assist with this good project as well.
Director of Education in the person of Wilfred Katey Adodoadji also acknowledges the DCE and Ghana Gas for these initiatives and urges beneficiaries to work effortlessly to raise the name of Ellembelle and the nation at large.
The District Magistrate, her worship Awo Amissah French also encourages beneficiaries to put in their maximum best to excel in their academics and also prepare their mind, hearts, and bodies to give back to society what the scholarship
has given to them.
Nana Nkroful (Chief of Nkroful) congratulated beneficiaries and re-emphasized the fact that the support they are getting should be fruitful for Ellembelle and the nation at large.
The DCE also urged the beneficiaries to put in their effort to uplift the image of ellembelle and also assured them that, their results will be monitored for non-serious ones to be taken out from the scheme.
Also, beneficiaries will be paid for their tuition every semester until they are done with school and can decide to continue after their first degree. He pleaded with other companies to come to their aid.
The Senior Manager of Ghana Gas also encourages beneficiaries to work effectively for more opportunities.
