The Chief of Nkroful, Nana Kwasi Kutua IV has made a passionate appeal to duty bearers to intensify educational campaigns to sustain that Green Ghana Programme.
He hinted that more education on caring for trees was essential for the maximum benefits to be enjoyed by all.
He observed with worry how human activities destroy the environment and therefore appealed for government to design a legislation that barred people from clearing lands before building.
He indicated that, even if there was the need to clear lands for certain purposes, a stringent legislation that would make such people to replant was crucial for the continuity of planting to green Ghana.
He again called for attitudinal change and adherence to laws as well as involving in the Green Ghana Programme to reap the benefits in the long run.
