A staff of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in the Ellembelle District has won the first quarter awards.
Mr. Abraham Chamitey thanked management for recognizing his efforts and awarding him. He said the move shows that good works always pays and therefore implored on other staff to also work towards recognition to feel part of the development of the District.
He intimated that team work made him stand out as some of his colleagues were part of such achievement.
For his prize, he was given Two Hundred and Fifty Ghana cedis and a citation.
The secretary to the Awards Committee, Mr. Koame Dackson mentioned that one of the criteria for the selection of prospective winners was completion of the 2017 staff appraisal, adding that all the shortlisted officers had met such requirement.
He said after careful vetting of the nominees, Mr. Chamitey came first, with Ms. Rebecca Blay, a cleaner with the environmental health unit earning the second prize and Mr. Thomas Kaku, a security officer with the central administration taking the third position.
The award winners were all rewarded with cash prizes.
